AWS eks: EKS Argo CD capability: optional custom endpoint prefix in console

Service: eks · 2026-10-11 · Documentation low

File: eks/latest/userguide/argocd-create-console.md

Summary

Adds an optional step 9 to the Argo CD capability creation flow describing the 'Argo CD endpoint prefix' field under 'Additional configuration and defaults', including character/length constraints and the note that the prefix cannot be changed after creation.

Security assessment

The change only documents an optional hostname prefix used to generate the Argo CD endpoint hostname. It is a naming/usability customization and does not address authentication, authorization, encryption, credentials, or a known vulnerability.

Evidence

    2. For **Argo CD endpoint prefix -_optional_ **, enter a prefix. The prefix must be 1 to 50 characters and must start and end with a letter or a number. Valid characters are lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (`-`). The prefix must be unique within your AWS account and AWS Region.
