Service: appstream2 · 2025-11-07 · Documentation low

File: appstream2/latest/developerguide/default-vpc-with-public-subnet.md

Summary

Replaced 'AppStream 2.0' with 'WorkSpaces Applications' in service references. Network configuration guidance and VPC recommendations remain technically unchanged.

-If your Amazon Web Services account was created before 2013-12-04, you must create a new VPC or configure an existing one to use with AppStream 2.0. We recommend that you manually configure a VPC with two private subnets for your fleets, app block builders, and image builders and a NAT gateway in a public subnet. For more information, see [Configure a VPC with Private Subnets and a NAT Gateway](./managing-network-internet-NAT-gateway.html). Alternatively, you can configure a non-default VPC with a public subnet.
